David A
Smoked Oct 15, 2023 for 25 mins
• Date: 10/15/2023
• Cigar: Punch London Club Maduro
• Drinking: Cruzan Single Barrel Rum
• Weather: 57 F, slight wind
• Smoke Time: 25 minutes (did not finish)
• Draw: Easy
• Burn: Super easy to light and barely any touchups needed despite the wind
• Ash: Average
• Mouthfeel: Full and Hot
• Nicotine Strength: High
• Unlit Flavors/Smells: Sweet mulch, forest floor. Dry pull very faint flavors of chocolate and raisins
• Smoking Notes: First puff immediately reminds me of a gas station cigarillo like a black and mild. The spice is overwhelming and burns on retrohale. Very hot smoke. This is rough spice, cedar, and some leather. Hints of roasted almonds, coffee. About halfway through it seems to have mellowed slightly, or perhaps my palate and olfactory senses have been beaten into submission, my body releasing endorphins to combat the onslaught.
• Conclusion: Visually the cigar looks old school (rough) with large veins/fold lines. The smoke is rough. This is a bull in a china shop. This is a homeless fentanyl addict taking a shit on the street in broad daylight. When it isn’t singing your nose hairs or punching your tongue with it’s hot and spicy assault, you do get some flavor. Best paired with high methanol moonshine, painkillers, and letters from the court regarding your child support payment truancy. The band stayed on this one and it wasn’t even close as I started to feel nauseous. I apologize to the distillers of the rum that I dishonored by pairing with this. This cigar has no chill and no class. 1/5
