Family Reserve 85 Years Maduro

This cigar was probably one of the lightest, creamiest maduros that I've had. I take back by the rich, opulent fermented tobacco smell at the foot, disappointed by the airy, flavorless cold draw; and pleased with the quick start and immediately even burn. Flavor wise, I got an impressive oakiness during the first 3rd that really transitioned into cool, creamy sweetened cocoa towards the 2nd 3rd. The draw and smoke output was impressive, even when compared to other higher end padron sticks. Overall there were some beautifully placed flavors that really layered quite well and the sheer creaminess made up for the lack of strength and nic bite. I would have enjoyed a heft more spice. While I did enjoy this cigar and would buy it again, I'd opt for the regular 1964 anniversary over the no. 85 any day of the week.
