This wrapper and vitola looks almost identical to Caldwell's The Last Tsar toro, but without the pigtail cap. Caldwell said it's the same wrapper as the Last Tsar, but over DR mejorado binder and filler. A bit of a heavy hitter, a little spicy through the retrohale, but toasty and creamy at the same time. Great smoke for after dinner. The draw is pretty loose, it takes a couple long puffs to produce some smoke and see the burn ring. The burn is also drawing a bit funny, with a mouse hole burn in the first inch. After touching it up past that spot, the burn seems to be doing much better. A sweet caramel flavor appeared halfway through.
