David A
Smoked Oct 4, 2023 for 1 hr 00 mins
Date:10/4/2023
Cigar: Paul Garmirian Gourmet Robusto
Drinking: Kirk and Sweeney Reserva Rum
Weather: 77 F, light breeze
Smoke Time: 1 hour
Draw: Easy
Visual Construction: Excellent
Burn: Easy to light, superbly even burn rate
Ash: Slightly above average, fell off sooner than expected after the PG cigar I had yesterday
Mouthfeel: Medium/Full but incredibly smooth even on retrohale. First cigar that I understand the term “creamy” for the smoke.
Nicotine Strength: Medium
Unlit Flavors/Smells: Very subdued aroma, leather, sweet and fruity. Cinnamon. Dry pull - raisins
Smoking Notes: First pull is wonderful. Tons of roasted and toasted nuts, popcorn, woody. 2nd third starts to get a bit of spice and herbal tones. Leather notes increasing in prominence. Final third becomes a tad oily with more of the same as before but far stronger and more complex
Conclusion: Another fantastic smoke from PG cigars. I am absolutely sold on them and intend to try more of their offerings. Smoked very evenly. Noticed occasional popping/crackling/sizzling while smoking. Either beetle eggs or too damp or too dry lol. The cigar had a very pleasant evolution through the smoke. The initial inch or so was gloriously tasty and mellow. 4.5/5.
