Smoked Mar 9, 2025 for 1 hr 20 mins
Appearance: rustic, dark brown wrapper, closed foot, appears well put together.
First third: opens with a blast of pepper when the closed foot is lot, then that backs off and the rest of the section is all oak, coffee, a bit of pepper. Burn started to get lopsided toward the end. On the full side of medium.
Second third: Burn is corrected with some attention to how I'm holding the cigar. The strength had settled into a nice medium. Flavors are balancing well, staying with the wood and coffee, with pepper and some tannin in the background.
Final third: Tracking right along with the flavors, perhaps more earth and leather now versus tannic oak, though that is still there as well, hints of raisin occasionally. Still medium.
Burn and construction were good, draw was just about perfect, and it had mouthfuls of thick, chewy smoke production.
