This bold AJF cigar hits the pallet instantly. Full tones of espresso, cocoa, woodsiness, and light touches of sweetness to keep it balanced. The bold profile works out great. A smooth draw, very even burn, and moderately firm construction are all a bonus.

Not a cigar for me. Burn was off and had to be touched up. Draw was great. Flavor was not something I enjoy.

Coffee with slight leather notes.

Thick oily wrapper with tight seams and a firm pack. Campfire and cocoa aroma. Draw and burn were perfect from start to finish. The first third had a bold and intense pepper and chilli with an earthy body, immediately starting with a full body. The pepper and spice was a bit too intense for my liking (6/10). Starting with the second third and further the pepper and chilli fades allowing a musty cocoa and rich earth and leather to join the mix, creating a flavourful, rich, and potent blend (10/10), while maintaining a full body. Some chocolate, coffee, and raisin like sweetness popped in every now and then. Subtle and varied over the course of the smoke, but detectable and wonderful when present. The last third saw the pepper fade even more and the deep and rich earth coming to the forefront. The body dialed down to medium-full, and the flavours complemented and blended well (9/10). Medium in strength. It was a very windy day, which might have contributed to the faster than expected smoking time of 1 hour. Overall one of my favourates, sans the first 10 minutes or so (9/10).
