With a USA Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper, this was my first Maduro cigar. The Dominican filler and binder definitely reminded me of the one I smoked in the DR. I got that peppery “spiciness” at combustion that they talk of. The character smoothed out about half an inch in. Very smooth and aromatic.

Draw was great for most of the cigar but got really tight towards the end. Had to leave it with almost an inch left. Also went out about 2/3 way and had to relight. Still, brilliant cigar. Took me back to my first cigar in the DR.

Decent smoke for the price, these can be had for like 6 bucks each in certain places which are a good deal at that price, i got a box at Total Wine so it was closer to 9 each. These have been resting at 64 for a few weeks and have a good flavor, but nothing to write home about. Draw was ok, but could have been a little more open. Burned well, razor sharp, and i think the look great. At 6 bucks i would buy again.

I really liked this one. It was my first Fuente. Unique sweet flavor in the back of the throat during retrohale. Chocolate and leather. Excellent burn. It looks imperfect but I actually dig the look. Draw was a little tight but I just switched from 72% bovedas to 69% so I think the next will be a little easier. No relights or touchups.
