Duplicate review, exactly the same as last time. This cigar presents a smoothly blended profile of wood, leather, and spice - a touch of nuttiness shows at times. The draw is smooth after resting and burns very evenly. Only somewhat soft to the touch in terms of construction.

Adventura

A fantastic blend of flavors! This version of the Royal Return barberpole presented mostly leather and spice profiles, with possibly some wood undertones. The burn and draw were absolute perfection.

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust

Consistent review. A great short smoke! Notes of mixed cocoa, coffee, earth, and pepper. Everything you want in a good blend. Perfectly dense with a great draw. Acquired from TGS25 event.

Camacho

A well blended profile of leather and sweet pepper. Although this blend has a more veiny wrapper than the others in the "color core" series, it still smokes very well. The draw was incredibly and the burn stayed very even.

Micallef

Updated review. 2 years of humidor years! A dark leathery smoke with hints of cocoa and spice. Sits on the pallet for a long time with bold flavor. Just about perfect construction as well. So smooth after the long resting period.

LeRoy Neiman

A colorful banding for a colorful artist. This project brings an elegant and smooth profile, with creamy bread and just a hint of pepper / spice. The draw is taught with the perfect amount of resistance that created a burn with an almost razor line finish. Fantastic!

Ave Maria

Repeated review. Even more of an airy draw this time but still with an absolute ton of smoke output! Flavor stays smooth, with bread or toast packed and a good amount of spice. The retro boasts a good tinge as well. Decent burn with minor corrections.

Rock-A-Feller

Updated review. The profile brings pepper and a type of sweetness, almost like a caramel tone. The sweetness backs off just enough to present some rich tobacco and various spices. A nutty profile still appears after over a year of rest, but now smoother.

AJ Fernandez

Repeated review. A powerful but smooth blend of coffee, wood, and spice. Random pops of leather come through as well. A perfect draw, and a burn that stayed very even. Spicier than expected on the retro.

Quesada

This one starts off like it will be a chocolate bomb. However, that fades away very quickly and leads into a profile of savory wood and pepper. Those notes remain the rest of the way. The draw is open, but the burn stayed very even.

Partagas

A different style from Partagas. This one brings flavors of sweet & spiced cocoa. The construction feels solid and the draw is smooth, but the burn needed a few corrections along the way.

Esteban Carreras

An intriguing variant to the profile on this blend. The flavor notes portray a touch of coffee, some leather, and a weird hint of pepper or spice. The super sharp box pressed edges enable a unique mouth feel, but the draw remains slightly open.

Plasencia

Updated review. An already great cigar seems smoother with a year of age! Creamy, peppery, and toasty throughout. Very smooth and enjoyable. Perfect draw and appearance.

Oliva

Second review. First review came as a 70, but after 9 months of rest the flavor and draw are improved. A simple cigar, nothing fancy or complex. Earth and some backend spice. Open but smoother draw, and the burn stayed even. Definitely a cigar that needs considerable rest after purchase.

Caldwell

Here's an interesting one. The cold draw reminded me of a spiced apple pie, which I thought was just a fluke since I rarely pull fruit notes. Apparently not, as the smoking profile portrayed sweet, spiced cedar notes. The draw was open and incredibly smokey.

RoMa Craft

A little earth, a little spice, a little cream. Airy smoke but well balanced. The burn waved at times but corrected itself. A good smoke overall. Acquired from NFG24.

Protocol

The cigar comes out of the gate with a punch of red pepper with a subtle touch of sweetness. That is shortly joined by a woodsy tone and maybe a touch of leather. The construction is firm but the draw remains airy with decent smoke output. The draw remained very even.

I loved this one, amazing draw, almost perfect burn even on wind, mild taste until almost the end, but a super nice mild taste. (I should try it with a coffee) Perfect for a chill day, when I’ll need just some cigar to go on with my day!
