Cubano Especial Capa Madura

This is another cigar from the back of the humidor. I've had a few of these since around 2012. I know PDR redid the blend in 2020 or 2021, I haven't tried those yet. I was set to be disappointed, after lighting there wasn't much flavor and the draw was tight but I gave it a few and after 3/4 of an inch the draw opened and so did the flavor. Coffee and chocolate with a touch if pepper. As the smoke went on I caught some sweetness, nuts and cream. Towards the finish some leather and earth came to the front but the coffee and chocolate was still there. This maybe $5 stick a decade later tops many $12-$15 smokes I buy these days.

A woody, leathery smoke with a hint of dark chocolate.
