El Septimo

The appearance, draw, and burn for all highly acceptable on this blend. However, the flavor came up just a bit short. While there are several notes coming through, including a sweet nutty profile and bright pepper, it tends to be a little bitter or tingy.

San Cristobal

Nice cigar only issue I had is I caused a split in the wrapper when I punched it. Flavor profile decently good. Like to try other cigars from this maker.

Oliva

TL;DR - Earthy and creamy. Recommended 👍 10 mos aged ⏳️ Starts off with spices from a Christmas drink and some Cocoa powder. I'm thinking cinnamon and hint of clove. To clarify, it's not sweet. I'm also getting the earthy and creamy flavors I read about. Medium flavors and medium+ nicotine. Overall, this was a good smoke. I like it, but I'm not sure it's going to make the humidor.

Tatuaje

Even in the much smaller format, this one packs a punch of flavor! A profile consist of leather and dark coffee, with strong pepper coming through on the retro. The draw is smooth with a dead even burn.

San Cristobal

The cigar presents a velvety mix of flavors, consisting primarily of sweet cocoa and some earthiness. The elegant banding matches the presentation, with a very clean draw and burn.

Camacho

Continued review, now with 10 months of rest. With the first cigar landing in the 70s, the 6-month mark seems to be the acceptable smoking point. No difference now compared to then. Subtle notes of spice with a primarily nutty profile. The draw is smoother, and the burn is even.

La Palina

Doesn't seem to fit the bill compared to the other LP Classics. Flavor was nothing more than simple tobacco, and although the draw was okay, the burn was absolutely horrible. I had to touch up or relight the cigar about every half inch or so. Definitely not worth it.

Macanudo

TL;DR - Wood and hay. Great paired with coffee ☕️ Recommended in the cigarillos vitola as a morning or daytime smoke👍 Aged 10 mos ⏳️ Pre-light scent is hay and sweet tobacco. Great construction; the lightly plugged draw opens later. Initial light-up impresses charry wood; transitions to tangy wood 🪵 A mineral or metallic flavor develops mid-tongue. Dry grass or hay shows up mid-smoke. Light flavors and light nicotine. An easy smoke. Pairing with coffee ☕️ has been good. Tea should work too. I actually think this might be good with a sipping tequila. Parting thought, be sure to give these 6-8 months aging at a minimum. The factory seems to be minimally aging these before shipping; if at all.

Casa de Garcia

A firmly built cigar with clean notes of baking spice, a touch of leather, and maybe a hint of cinnamon. The draw is a tad tight but acceptable. However, the burn is absolutely razor edge line. Smoked better than the average connecticut tends to.

ACE Prime

A very basic (super cheap) cigar with notes of basic wood & spice. The appearance may be underwhelming, but the draw and burn for top notch. A good choice for a super-budget smoke.

Gran Habano

With one month of age, these might need more time to rest before hitting the rest of the bundle. Appearance and burn were good, but the flavor presented nothing but tobacco and very mild spice.

Nice cigars. Did have a few issues with wrapper peeling up. Liking the flavor.

E.P. Carrillo

Dark toasted oak core. Wood flavors are intermittently tangy. Black cherry hints at the finish.

Partagas

Updated review. Flavor profile is full of coffee, dark chocolate, and spices. A fantastic blend with practically no bitterness. The burn stayed dead even with a smooth draw. Long slow smoke.

Partida Cigar Co.

An interestingly spiced blend to the one. Flavors consist of a smokey wood undertone (possibly oak - not bright cedar) mixed with some meaty flavor and subtle leather. Simple appearance, with a very smooth draw and burn.

Black Star Line

A medium cigar, mildly balanced flavor, but rather exceptional. Flavors portray of mild wood blended with leather and baking spice. The draw was perfect, and the burn only need minor help.

Full-bodied stronger than I've had as I work up my palate. Great little cigar wish I knew the maker. Paired with Johnny Walker Black.

Consistent duplicated review. Very caramel-like coffee and cocoa with a deep bold oily wrapper. An incredibly velvety touch, and a softer feel that doesn't affect the draw or burn. Flavorful the entire way without much of any type of transition.

This one may surprise you. First impression provides an elegant appearance. The construction is only a little soft, but the burn stays incredibly even while they draw remain smooth. Flavor notes consist mostly of earth, black pepper, and a touch of cream.

Fortaleza Y Libre

This is a very bold, smokey, and peppery smoke. The burn was a little quick, but that did not take away from the flavor. Gentle progresses allowed the earth and spice to pick up without becoming harsh. The draw stayed openly smooth and consistent. Great smoke overall.

La Perla Habana

TL;DR - mellow hay and leather core. Not bad, though not that interesting either. Definitely NEEDS aging at least 8 mos. I recommend Pass 👎 This one is aged 10 mos ⏳️ and is the last of 2 La Pearla Habana Black Pearl test boxes: one Morado and one Rojo. Both are made well and burn correctly. The Morado wasn't too impressive. It's defining experience is anise. Given the cigar's general bitterness, the anise didn't add enough to make it worthwhile. This smoke, the Rojo, was supposed to be spicy, but instead ends up as a pleasant-ish mix of hay and leather. Somewhat enjoyable with coffee ☕️ I'd say skip the Morado, but the Rojo might be a decent choice for someone's cheap "yard 'gar". As for me, I've had enough, I would not accept if offered, and won't buy more.

Micallef

Continued review. A full year of rest on this one. A dark leathery smoke with hints of cocoa and spice, consistent with bold flavor. So smooth after the rest, but not quite as smooth as when I rested one for 2 years.

Espinosa

Flavor on this version consists of heavy earth and spice. Tad bits of sweet vanilla pop up at random times but do not stay. A tone of basic tobacco tends to overwhelm the rest of the flavors at times.
