Anastasia

It's a bit rainy on this Xmas day, but I put up the umbrella and lit up this Anastasia white label pyramide. A couple drops of rain hit the wrapper but didn't hurt this complex and delicious smoke. It's sweet, leathery, woody, and just all-around absolutely excellent. Another great cigar from Caldwell. The spots where the rain hit made it burn a little funny for a minute, but it burned through like a champ. The draw is slightly tight, but there's no need to try to draw hard. A long slow draw gives all the smoke output i need. Lots of cedar and floral sweetness with a nice backbone of leathery earth. Absolutely fantastic smoke!

This cigar is a gem. The smaller vitola makes for some fantastic flavors from dark bitter chocolate to a sweet caramel note and the floral/woodsy notes in between. The burn was even throughout the entire experience, and the ash dropped every inch and a half. Fantastic cigar!

What a unicorn. Made in 2016, crafted by Ernesto Perez Carrillo, together with Robert Caldwell. Very hard to find. Creamy cashew with a subtle sweetness, cedar woodiness, a slight sinus tingle via retrohale but so well aged that the blend is pretty mild and very well balanced. This cigar is in the running for the best cigar I've had all year. One more in my humidor to age for a while longer. I almost didn't want to smoke it because it's so hard to find but I'm so glad I did. Ash drops a little earlier than I was hoping, but the burn is even and the draw is perfection. Fantastic flavor and the wrapper has a beautiful Colorado Claro color.

Quick smoke. Draw is easy and smokes fast. Taste is light to medium, im not great with flavor profiles but i would say im getting a nutty, oak and hay flavor half way through.
