Inspirado Green

TL;DR - Recommended if you like a very dark smoke. 5 mos aged. ⏳️ Prelight barnyard. Goldilocks draw. Light-up difficult. Burn-line wavy, though 👌. Spicy from the start. Thankfully no charcoal flavor forms. Toasted wood carries this smoke. 🪵 It's a dark cigar in both look and flavor. Would pair well with whiskey or a Highland Scotch. I know it doesn't matter, but this has to be the ugliest, darkest ash I've ever seen. 🤣 In the second third, there's a very light maple syrup 🍁 that comes and goes. The long finish is peppercorn. If you like a very dark cigar, this one may be for you.

Foot and wrapper have a nice barnyard and fruit wood aroma. Cold draw is notes of fruit wood and leaves a light pepper and sweetness on the lips. First draw is cedar, oak, and dark cherry notes. Retrohale is sweet but has a mild white pepper bite. The first third has cedar, dark cherry, earth, and subtle milk chocolate and coffee notes. Retrohale has still holds a medium pepper bite. The second third stays similar but the dark cherry drops off and a subtle black licorice takes its place. The smoke has a charred mixed wood aroma much like a campground firepit. Final third holds notes of the second but picking up a citrus zest on the back end along with black pepper. The retrohale has switched to a cinnamon note. Overall a good stick but it took multiple touch ups throughout.

Bold wrapper flavor, but the smoke hit more of a sweet earthiness with subtle spice. Better than other Inspirados I have smoked.

The draw was great from beginning to end. The burn was a little uneven, but that may have been attributed to a bad light due to the wind. The flavor had some nice hits of oak and nuts with some hints of peppery earthiness. Definitely worth a try.
