Every time I light up a Diesel Wicked Ice Cube's Wicked plays in my head. Actually, Korn's cover of Wicked plays in my head because that's the version I heard first, but I love the song and associate it with the cigar. I'm getting a lot of chocolatey flavor with some cinnamon. The draw is wide open allowing for maximum smoke output and the burn is wavy, but burning more or less even all around. The ash is bright white, yellowing a bit as the ash gets older, and is holding on tight with about 4 inches to go. The ash fell off with a little more than 3 inches to go. I could tell it was loosening up and I always prefer to put the ash in the ashtray instead of on my pants. Flavor is still pretty cinnamon forward and spicy on the retrohale with an earthy chocolate base. The farther along I get the more earthy and oaky it gets. Strong heavy flavor.
Very dark tasting cigar. Very peppery on the retrohale with a dark leathery earth taste. Wrapper cracked slightly a little bit after lighting but didn't effect the burn. Not my favorite cigar, but I still enjoyed it. Strong and nicotine heavy with a slight bitterness but overall very earthy.
Dark and velvety wrapper, equally dark and velvety taste. Peppery, earthy, leathery and oaky with a hint of vanilla and an espresso bitterness. 2" ash, razor sharp burn and easy draw.
Used a dickmans cut to allow more smoke through the draw than a v-cut or a normal straight cut but should've cut at more of an angle as there was still slight tar buildup. Started out very bitter/astringent but after a purge the bitterness subsided and the earthiness shown through. Leather, oak, espresso, black pepper, a bit of peanut which turned into walnut. The burn was crisp through the first third and then started to canoe a bit but more or less evened itself out. The further along i got the better it tasted. Dry boxed for about 5 days so no swelling and splitting.
Excellent construction!!! Good even burn, perfect draw, and a decent amount of smoke. Aroma smells like barnyard with a dark espresso/earthy flavor. A little darker than I would normally like, but I can certainly appreciate this one.
