Classic appearance and bold taste from the start. Lots of leather and hints of chestnut and dark chocolate notes. The draw is tight, so a deeper V cut is probably the way to go. Smooooooth first-third retrohale. And it only gets better. Add this one to your list.

• Date: 10/27/2023 • Cigar: Arturo Fuente Chateau Maduro • Drinking: Martell VS Cognac • Weather: 75 F, no wind • Smoke Time: 60 minutes • Draw: Medium+ firmness • Burn: A bit tough to light and needed touching up throughout. • Ash: Above average length, first ash lasted 40%. Even very light grey color with no banding. • Mouthfeel: Medium+. Some nice weight and smoothness to the smoke. • Nicotine Strength: Light/Medium • Unlit Flavors/Smells: Sweet chocolate covered raisins, blackberries, and mulch. • Smoking Notes: First puff has yeasty notes and spice. Salty. About an inch in toasted nuts. Spice is rather powerful making retrohales zippy. Longer intervals between puffs reveal coffee. As the first third winds down, leather appears. The spice has mellowed a bit and retrohale is smoother. At the halfway mark the roasted nuts are most prevalent followed by leather, wood, and spice. In the final third I get some minerality and herbal notes and the coffee is more noticeable, particularly as an aftertaste. The final inch and a half had deep, earthy, forest floor notes. • Conclusion: The first cigar I have had that came packaged with a cedar wrap which was interesting which I used to toast it. I really like this form factor. The cigar felt weighty and well packed but not difficult to draw. The cognac paired perfectly as the smooth, fruity sweetness balanced out the ever so slightly bitter and spice of the smoke. A great flavor profile that evolved evenly throughout the session, definitely has more complexity than I expected for the size. The flavor is medium bodied, but the smoke is thick and smooth. A bit disappointed with needing to touch it up so often, but otherwise the construction felt solid. Smoked down to a nub. 4/5

Excellent flavor. Very smooth smoke. Highly recommend. Definitely made very well.

It's what you'd expect out of a Fuente. Perfection!!! Smooth and rich flavors off sweet earth and dark coffee. Burn was wavy at times but self correcting with an excellent draw. If you've never tried Arturo Fuente, what are you waiting for?

Great burn. Wrapper held very well. The flavor is excellent and I think this is one of my favorite sticks after two sessions.
