A coffee & chocolate bomb right at the start. Other notes of leather and spice come through shortly after. The burn started waving at first but very quickly fixed itself and remained even the rest of the way. The draw is tight but adequate, great cigar in general.

Crowned Heads Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2020. This is the first time the Nike is all Nicaragua tobacco. Even though it had a band on the foot (I typically hate the bands on the foot of a cigar) taking off the foot band didn't hurt the wrapper. A straight cut and a very loose draw lead to a pretty uneven burn right away so I touched up the side that wasn't burning well. That lasted for about 3 puffs before it started canoeing again so I decided I needed to slow down drastically. Not much flavor overall so far but there's an earthy tobacco flavor with a spiciness in the retrohale. Even though I had to touch up the burn twice in the first third, the draw was loose, and the ash looked like it was going to fall off at any time, the first ash held on for about two inches before I tapped it off. Unfortunately, the burn never really evened out so I had to touch it up again right after I tapped the ash. Halfway through the burn tightened up and burned more evenly but was still uneven. The further I got toward the nub the better the burn got and I was really allowed to appreciate the flavors, which are spectacular, especially being paired with a double-aged, dark rum. I'm getting a lot of earthy, spicy, leathery cedar with some caramel and light roast coffee. Retrohale is a bit spicy and very flavorful in the last third. If not for the poor burn in the first half, it would have been an excellent cigar. I had to take some points off because of the super loose draw and uneven burn which lead to having to touch up the burn multiple times. Fantastic, well blended flavors, but the construction leaves a lot to be desired.
