Strong flavor

Very tight draw from the beginning. But not so tight as to need help. A lot of smoking from the ash end, even when not drawing on the cigar. Burn was very lopsided, almost canoeing. Continued with a lopsided burn, even after a major touch-up. Draw improved by the end of the first third. Pepper notes on the retrohale with a hint of an ashy taste on the tongue. No other flavor notes seemed to jump out at me. Cigar became hot to the touch in the halfway point, even after letting it rest for a minute. I've had La Gloria Cubana Maduro cigars in the past and found them quite enjoyable. This Wavell isn't one of them. This cigar became more work than enjoyment, so I gave up on it by the time I reached the second band. Definitely not on my buy again list.

Wrapper/foot notes: faint barnyard, rich chocolate. Firm pack. Punch cut, very tight draw. Cold draw: nuts, wood, cocoa, cream.
