Sublime and elegant. If you're looking for something to pair with tailgate nachos or tequila shots, this is not your cigar. If, however, you want to enjoy the finest aged tobaccos from Arturo Fuente then you might just have a great selection here. Everything about this cigar is subtle and nuanced. The Sungrown spice is there, yet it's in the background. There's an always-present undertone of leather, yet it never steps forward in the lead. A very pleasant Cedar carries the experience, with perhaps a hint of toasted pecan from time to time. In short: a near-perfect delivery of warmth, comfort, and a touch of introspection. Easily one of my all-time favorites.

In short, it's about as good as it gets for a standard smoke. Aged 8 months. The prelight smell is all quality tobacco. The prelight taste is a wonderful aged tobacco flavor with a slight sweetness. First puffs give off that wonderful early light peppery sensation. Maybe white pepper? The first 1/3 is oak, plain as day. The second third has developed a toasted hazelnut to go along with the toasted oak. As usual, this cigar develops as a narrow experience. Not complex or much of a journey. And that is definitely part of its charm. Now it's steady-Eddie into the last 3/3. Same flavors as the last, though a light waxiness has developed on my palate. Not bad, and not distracting. Another great smoke from Fuente.

This is a simple smoke, evoking comfort and consistency. Like sitting in your favorite old leather chair. Construction is firm with ample draw. Prelight is a light barnyard. Very pleasant. Torch it up and you're rewarded with ceder, toasted almond and an always present light leather. The burn is easy going, and the cherry quickly develops a sugar ring at the burn line. It's consistent and exactly what you'd want. I'll be looking forward to many more.
