Buffalo TEN Maduro

Very squarely boxed pressed, with tight seems and a big cap, and a slightly snug draw. Packing feels very even except for the last 3.5 cm which feels a bit underpacked. The cigar starts off with soft earth, leather, and cocoa with the intensity building from mild to medium. Abiut half way the leather takes prominence with the earth fading and the addition of a slight herbal note. The last third sees the earth falling back even more but adding some minerality, coffee, and barnyard. In the last 3.5 cm the draw opened up completely, the flavours died down and the cigar went out fairly quickly. Overall a wonderful experience, except for that last bit. 8/10.

Dark, even, slightly toothy wrapper, with a lovely barnhouse aroma. Draw was open and easy. Plenty of thick smoke, a 1/2 length ash, and needing 2 touch-ups. 1/3: Leather, earth, slight cocoa, slight sweetness, mild (3.5/5) 2/3: Leather, earth, slight minerality, slight creamy coffee, and once a tea-like note? It was pretty good though. Medium body (4.5/5) 3/3: Leather, black pepper, slight mineral, slight sweet, slight creamy coffee. Medium body (4/5) Strength: 2/5 Body: 6/10

Great flavor but horrible burn! Hopefully this was just a one of. Will try it again to see if this was just a bad batch or consistent with this cigar. At that price point (around ~$5 USD) it's definitely worth it if the burn is good. *EDIT* Bought another. The burn was not as bad on this one but still bad enough that I wouldn't buy it again. If you're ok with maintaining the cigar during the smoke session I would still say it's ok, it just not for me (I don't want to have to work on the cigar constantly just to make sure the burn doesn't go crazy).

Aroma of earth and hay maybe a little molasses. Cold draw is earthy with some baking spice. Draw is a little tight. First draw is dark roast coffee and cocoa. Has definite pepper on the retrohale. Has a distinct tobacco sweetness on the lips. Into the first third notes of molasses come in. Has noticeable campfire aroma. Had to touch up the burn a few times and relight twice. Wrapper started to come apart at the last third due to band sticking. Flavors stayed pretty consistent throughout and the molasses came through the aroma as burned through. Pepper notes were stronger in the last third. Not a bad stick for the money
