Trinidad

Thick and chewy smoke provides flavor notes of wood, earth, and a bit of spice. The draw stays open with a very even burn line. Banding is elegant with firm construction.

Drew Estate

Super dark, oily, and bold profile all the way around. Flavor profile heavily consists of chocolate and coffee. The draw is smooth with a fairly clean burn as well. Elegant but simplistic appearance.

El Septimo

Fantastic cigar! Initial notes of spice and subtle sweetness with a very tight draw due to the shape. As it burns down, the draw becomes almost perfect with extra notes of pepper, clove, and cedar. A complex blend that pleases.

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust

DELICIOUS. Notes of easy toasted pepper and a little seasoning or spice. Rich tobacco stays true throughout the entire smoke. Straight forward flavors. Immaculate construction, great draw, and a pretty even burn.

La Flor Dominicana

A dark oil powerhouse. Beep bold notes of rich tobacco, a little nuttiness, sweet cocoa, and no pepper. A somewhat tight draw but very even burn. Overall a very smooth but bold smoke.

H. Upmann

A medium smoke with notes of cedar, basic coffee, and some light herbal type spice. Appearance is clean, but the construction feels a little loose. This caused an airy draw with a burn that needed a few corrections.

My Father

A very earthy cigar with salty dark chocolate. The draw is almost too smooth, as I would expect it a little stiffer on something with such thick flavor. However, the burn stayed pretty even. Great appearance, with a slightly spongy construction.

La Flor Dominicana

El Septimo

This one is super complex. Bold tobacco with strong notes of coffee, wood, and earthiness. After a couple of inches, pure pulls of cherry pop out. A very smooth draw and burn.

Black Works Studio

The closed foot brings a punch right off the bat with the underlying candela wrapper. A good spicy blend that worked very well with some Japanese whisky.

Micallef

Smooth experience that remained gentle throughout. Subtle pepper and a little backend sweetness. Clean draw and decent burn.

Just about as perfect a cigar as you can get, all around.

God of Fire

Smooth, nutty, creamy, and somewhat milder smoke. Good draw and mostly good burn. Incredible look on the band.

Padron

A little spice, a little cream, a lot of smoke. Another good blend by Padron. A little more airy on the draw than expected, but the burn was perfect.

Partagas

Coffee. Dark chocolate. Spices. A fantastic blend with practically no bitterness. Some touchups needed on the burn. Long slow smoke.

Room 101

Super smooth mellow smoke with cedar and floral notes.

Espinosa

The smoke provides clean flavors of a creamy spice experience. A quicker smoke but very pleasurable.

San Cristobal

Mild coffee and herbal spices with a clean efficient draw.

Drew Estate

Smooth sweet espresso comes through on a very clean draw for a highly impressive cigar.

Southern Draw

Probably my favorite blend out of AJF's Southern Draw lineup. Subtle cedar and espresso. Interesting pairing with the bright notes of Deanston's Virgin Oak Scotch.

I'll let the others keep resting, but HAD to pull the first one out after two weeks. One word - DELICIOUS. Notes of toasted pepper and a little cinnamon. Pairs very well with the the Four Roses.

Black Works Studio

Not the best pic (low light) but this is a good little cigar for a short drive. The spice feels more like chili versus black pepper, and there is a subtle flavor of some herbal essence mixed in there. Very bold and still packs a punch.

Baccarat

Very mild blend with a sweetened tip. Not a very impressive smoke.

Micallef

A bold cigar that is more balanced than rich. Blended tones of sweet spice enjoyed throughout. Solid construction and perfect burn.

AJ Fernandez

Such a good smoke. Smooth blend of espresso, sweetness, and subtle spice.

Perdomo

Super rich bold cigar of cocoa, coffee, and amazingly aged tobacco. Perfect draw, but a loose center binder caused inadequate burn needing many touchups. Long smoke time.

Sindicato

A strong but smooth blend of chocolate, sharp spice, and subtle woodiness. Not a weak smoke but does not have the harsh bite many strong cigars do. This is one I would recommend. Join us at Hollow Down Cigar Lounge

Alec Bradley

A cigar people tend to hate or love. Smooth flavors of cocoa and a little back end of cream. Perfect draw and a generally steady, but not perfect, burn throughout.
