It’s been a few months since I’ve smoked one of these. The rest has improved the cigar quite a bit, in both flavor and the way it burns. Never required a touch up or relight.
Super tight on the test draw, but started to open up once it was lit. Still tighter than I'd like, but it's still quite smokeable. Pepper on the retro. Finally had to run a reamer through to open up the airflow more. Burn was badly uneven in the first third. It had a lot of smoke but it was "thin" and almost the color of the Connecticut wrapper. Spicy notes on the tongue in the second third. Burn improved greatly going into the final third, but still has a very tight draw. I think the remainder of this five pack will be sitting in the humidor for a good while.
