Seemingly light-hearted at first, the sweet spice gradually comes up to get your attention. There's a little earthiness that shines through as well. The retro is more intense than expected. Perfect draw and decent burn, great construction.
Had (3) regular Brûlées and was very underwhelmed, this blue was far above those. The construction was perfect on this, and the burn and draw were as good as it gets. Creamy smoke texture, actual sweetness from start to finish and lot of varied flavors. Not my favorite smoke at all, but if i go category by category, it scores high in every one and gets a high score from me.
Pretty Connecticut wrapper, few veins, almost seamless roll. Scent of hay and grass, barnyard in the foot. Sweet cap, reminiscent of crème brûlée. Perfect draw, plenty of creamy smoke. Can’t quite identify flavor notes. Some harshness in the palate, slight bitterness (not off putting though). In the last third I get leather and charred oak, it gets bolder and stronger… Quite a nice, unusual cigar
Second one of these ive smoked. Its been sitting in my humidor for about a month. Not seeing what the big deal is with these, pretty unremarkable flavor, and the build quality is poor. Big split in the wrapper right out of the cello, and a massive stick i pulled out that made the draw pretty bad. Maybe ill let this one sit for another 6 months and see how it does. Not in a rush to smoke another one.
Have this one a shot, over an okay cigar, but I’m not a Connecticut fan. Creamy smoke, good draw and burn but as with most Connecticut cigars it lacks the flavor depth I enjoy
Another awesome stick from DTT! Seems like everything is a hit for me personally. Not quite as good as the Brûlée Blue, but not too far behind either. Paired this with sweet tea and salted dark chocolate and it was perfect combo. Definitely happy to know I have 4 more of these in the humidor!
Highly complex Connecticut. For an evening cigar it is too mild for me. Could use a bit more power. But for lovers of mild cigars, that stick is really good. Construction was also good, just at the end of the second third, I had too touch up the burnline one time.
Will get more for the humidor.
I came in with high expectations with this cigar and was left disappointed. For me the cream was the main flavor and really dull in tastiness. I did like the coffee parts of the cigar, but I was left wanting more. Because my issue with this cigar had to do with flavor preference and not the cigar I still advise people to try it at least once.
Great smoke. Light, sweet flavor, only downside was an uneven burn that even though I touched up a couple of times would not even out. Will definitely enjoy this cigar again
