This cigar honestly blew away all of my expectations. An employee gave it to me for Christmas last year and it's been forgotten in my humidor sense. My well maintained humidor that is.
The flavor profile is smooth and leather with hints of butterscotch, banana bread, cinnamon raisin read, and bread pudding. The burn is spot on as well as the draw.
The cigar itself looks week and poorly constructed but the experience says otherwise.
Very well constructed, easy draw, maybe slightly underpacked. Mild flavor, floral, creamy, toasty, malty. Smooth, easygoing cigar. Burned just a hair fast, and was not enjoyable once it got down to maybe 1 1/4 inches, turning hot and bitter. Overall a very enjoyable cigar.
Very good smoke. A little spicy on the lips but dissipates quickly. Very even burn. Not a lot of aftertaste. Consistent all the way thru. Pairs with a low proof rye. Not the best pairing. Next time will go with a sweet bourbon.
It had the usual CT tang on the lips, but then the Dominican flavor came through. I'm not picking up on flavors today, but this is an overall tasty medium smoke.
