Pretty good cigar what to expect that Romeo and Juliet lots of hay earthy tones

Smooth good not elite

Bit spicy, pepper, strong

Excellent construction, draw, burn, ash. Pleasant flavor in the middle, but that's 1/3 of the stick. Given its high quality in other categories, seems like it's one tweak to the blend - particularly at the front end - from being a really nice cigar. 4 months in the humidor and no discernable changes aside from a slightly stronger finish.

Third time is the charm, right? Been in the humidor since April 10th. Nice even burn, held the ash to 2". Still a char flavor right off the bat, but quickly gave way to earth then cream and hay. Middle remains the best part of this cigar. For comparison, I think AJ Fernandez's Ramon Allones is a better cigar. This is pleasant, unobtrusive, but you have to stop and think about the flavor and I'm just not that smart by the end of the day.

Altadis offering, AJ Fernandez blend. Medium bodied, well constructed. Disappointing char flavor right off the bat, but great creamy flavor in the middle. Final third was a step down in flavor. No surprises, nothing particularly distinctive. If you think automatic transmission is a good thing you might like it. Underwhelming for a Nicaraguan puro. Will let the remaining ones sit for a month and retry.

Ok. Laugh with me. I was on my patio, enjoying a cool evening after a heavy rain. The stick was a beauty, with thick smoke, easy draw and notes of carmel and blond coffee. The first third was a joy. Then a gust of wind shook the maple tree above me showing me and my cigar with huge drops. From that point on, it needed frequent touchups and had an uneven burn. I had to puff so frequently to keep it lit, I got a nicotine buzz! It wouldn't have been so bad if the first third wasn't so dang good. As mom told me when I complained, "If this is the worst thing that happens today, you're having a really good day." Now to refill my Four Roses.

Romeo y Julieta alwsys delivers a dependable, good smoke. Nothing exceptional, just good. Burnt evenly without a touchup. Had a woodsy, nutty taste. Started out light in taste, but improved as it burned delivering rich smoke in the last half. Paired well with my Rye whiskey.

Oaky, medium- full bodied. On the richer side. Very Woody, vanilla, honey, gets sweeter as the smoke finishes.
