Maduro in the house! Surely you’ve heard of Brick House, a 93-rated gem that managed to work its way onto the “Best 25 Cigars of 2010” list. Well J.C. Newman is back with the Brick House Maduro. This cigar is darker and spicier than its predecessor. An oily Brazilian Arapiraca Maduro wrapper houses a blend of premium Nicaraguan long-fillers and a Nicaraguan binder. The bold, full-bodied flavor profile is punctuated by notes of cocoa and sweetness. Slow-burning, firm in hand, and deliciously tasty, it’s a fitting follow-up that will easily work its way onto your top ten list. Good news! In 2017 Brick House Maduro received an impressive 91-point rating, noting: "Strong and earthy, this dark, attractive cigar also has a salt-and-pepper quality that becomes lighter and floral. The finish is bready with a hint of caramel."

Decent cigar. Not sure if it is my cup of tea yet, but definitely a strong smoke and an interesting one for sure. Plan on getting a five pack of each variety to try out.

Smooth but thick cigar full of cocoa, caramel, and spice. A good thick draw with almost a perfect burn. Produces good smoke, although not bellowing in amounts.

Stronger than I like.

Burn issues, didn’t enjoy that much.

I tried the natural Brick House a couple weeks ago and loved it! So I picked up a 5 pack of the Maduros to give them a try. They didn’t disappoint!

This is a great cigar! Especially if you're looking for a Maduro that's on the milder side. A toothy Brazilian wrapper with some slight imperfections but overall the burn was pretty even. The draw was perfect. I get notes of Cocoa, caramel, and some spice throughout with a bit of pepper on the retrohale. The flavor is a little more bold on the front end but mellows out in the final third. At around $3 a stick you can't go wrong. I'll for sure keep these on hand.

Sweet Cocoa with a slight pepper and a touch of Carmel on the finish. Would have rated much higher had the burn not been such a nuisance. Definitely a good stick for the price.

This set of factory smokes have been a bit of a disappointment. They consistently leave pieces in my mouth. Almost have a medicinal flavor. Not great.

Wrapper fell apart on this one. Future tip: don't take the band off.

Better than my last Brick House. Inconsistent burn between cigars. Construction leaves much to be desired. Kept getting break-off in on lips

Cigar was not packed well. Too lose. It could have been condensed into a 50rg and been pretty good. Flavor was okay, not great.

Had to smoke fast to keep it lit. Had to touch up a few times. Pretty mild smoke all in all.

Had to relight multiple times. Flavor was ok. Tried to burn uneven, so I had to touch it up quite a bit

Hard to keep light. Front end was like smoking lawn leaves. Sweet spot got respectable, but deteriorated quickly. Will not buy again.

Spicy and dark. Excellent cigar but not a flavor profile for me
