This is EASILY one of the best cigar values out there. Good construction, easy draw, reasonable—not perfect—burn, and great price point. What’s not to love?
Perfect draw and smooth start. Still, I put it down after 45 minutes and roughly half the cigar as it was… uninteresting. Still an uncomplicated cigar and could be a cost effective daily driver. But if you search for surprises and depth of flavor, it will not make your day.
Initial light up gives coffee, cream, walnuts, and nutmeg. Second third and coffee turns to chocolate nibs while the cream fades. White pepper on the retrohale only. Hard draws bring out the barnyard and touch of raisin. Final third brings bready note and minerals. Short finish throughout. Foot smoke has a touch of sulfur, but is otherwise not offensive. Hard stick causing tight draw, but not too bad. Burn canoed multiple times. Sometimes it fixed itself, other times required touching up. Band came off easy after warm up. Plenty of nice, thick smoke. Mild plus in strength; medium in flavor. Wrapper was dry and eventually cracked, indicating dry out prior to, or during shipping. Will need to age before smoking the rest. EXCELLENT cigar for the money!
