A good everyday-type cigar, with an espresso & earthy blend of flavors. Smoked pretty fast, even though the burn remained even. Had a similar experience last summer with a gordo of this blend. Good stick, but nothing too spectacular.
The first thought that crossed my mind on the first draw was "gas station cigar". The flavor didn't improve any throughout the entire session. Burn was uneven through most of the session, but evened out in the final third. Lots of smoke, even when I wasn't drawing on the cigar. Smoke on retrohale was harsh and burned my nose. Gave up once I reached the final third. Definitely NOT a favorite!
This was my second try of this brand. Sorry, I just can't get excited. The flavor was lacking and I had to work hard to keep it from conoeing. I'll take partial blame, maybe I didn't start it well. The best I can say is I finished it and it wasn't a bad smoke, just unremarkable. Despite smoking outside at 54 F degrees, the final third was too hot for my liking. On the plus side, it did my Larceny 92 proof taste better which I finished long before the cigar!
