The tobacco itself is the star of the show, with a good aged but mild flavor to it. Pepper and some sweetness fiber through as well, with a subtle touch of leather or wood, hard to truly say. The draw is a tad tight but the burn held up ok.

Nicaraguan puro, rolled in the Plascencia factory. Triple cap is well done. Overkill on all the labels, the large label in the middle requires more attention than it should to avoid damaging what is a really nice, dark brown, oily wrapper. Two weeks in the humidor between purchase and ignition. Firm, no play, draw is a little on the tight side. First third starts with flavor up front, sweet with a trace of pepper. Becomes more flavorful in the middle, really pops on a slow exhale. The aged tobacco does the talking, with minimal nicotine. Coffee with the sweetness still in the background. An uneven burn by the time a hit of cedar appeared signalling the onset of the third act sorted itself out. Cedar earth and pepper to finish. Never loses its medium-full character. Did not heat up at the end, no touchups required at any point. Draw remained a little tight throughout. Three different types of filler tobaccos, all unique, all contributed evenly, nothing overpowering. Different from other Montecristo variants, but in a surprising and very good way.

Cold draw: chocolate, coffee First third: peppery and hay flavors. Slight hint of chocolate Second:  spice has lessened. Some hay flavors and definitely a nutty feel Third: barnyard flavor takes over. A little hot on the draw but not harsh nor bitter. Final third was the best third. Draw: a little tight. Straight cut Appearance: nice. Few veins. One small peel under the wrapper Burn: one relight. Almost tunneled but burned fairly evenly despite light wind.
