Had this sitting for a little over 5 months from a CP sampler. Very good stick, smooth, tasty creamy smoke, and complex evolving flavor. Construction was great aside from a crack that formed on the foot early on, its been repaired with some cigar glue for a while and performed great. I like this more than the Serie V, just a bit less than the Melanio.
Everything is fantastic except the most important thing. Short on taste. I don’t normally smoke Connecticut shade. 4 days in the humidor. Used a deep crown cut. Excellent tip of the torch light. A bit on the soft side but not problematic. Cap was great. Good burn. Ash was dark gray and held on for a good two inches. Great draw and smoke volume. A little spice, slight coffee, but a bit of a burnt tobacco note that hangs around in the after taste as well. I’ve found the Oliva lines are very different from one another and run a very wide spectrum as well.
One of the better Connecticut’s I’ve had. Will definitely be picking up more to keep on hand for morning smokes or when I’m in the mood for something a little more mild and mellow.
I’ve had Olivia’s in the past I really liked but for me this was a meh cigar. It had a couple of flavors like coffee and creaminess but none were great in richness. I personally would not suggest this cigar.
Honestly, an amazing smoke. Starts off very mild and gradually changes in flavor, about the middle it started getting stronger flavors. The late game is where you get some nice flavor. Definitely a nice casual smoke.
Really enjoying this one lately. It’s pretty mild in flavor and strength for when I want something that’s not overpowering. Just a nice easy smoke. Always burns and draws perfectly.
Paired with Francis Ford Coppola Diamond Collection Sauvignon Blanc Yellow Label
Very mild and smooth
Connecticut Reserve is blended from Nicaraguan long fillers and binder. Finished with only the finest Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, this medium-bodied cigar shows rich flavors as a smooth, silky smoke. This mellow cigar is not short on flavor with subtle notes of wood. It’s the perfect “any time” cigar.
Good draw and burn throughout the session. The Connecticut provided a nice change from the fuller bodied cigars I've been smoking lately. The flavor was a bit subtle, but the creamy/nutty notes were there. I think this would pair nicely with about anything.
Enjoyable stick. Nice even burn, fantastic draw, and great appearance. It has the high quality I expect from an Oliva. I bought 5, and will be buying more.
Really liked this Connecticut. Only complaint is it's one fast burning stick! Have had 3 of them now and every one was a fast burner. Will probably buy again, but will definitely be a Toro at least,if not a Churchill.
