Superb.
Generally I find these cigars present as 99-100% across all categories. In this case, one side of the burn was a little slow throughout the smoke, so a few touch-ups were needed to keep the burn consistent. Still, the burn border started and stayed caramelized from beginning to end, maximizing the sugar burn the entire time. Zero charring. So good!
The ash strength / length gave my son and I lots of laughable moments as it just would not fall off through at least 1/2 the smoke. Naturally it ended up on my wool coat's sleeve which adds to that garment's seasoning. I will never again clean that coat. Perfect!
I have to say, the wrapper / blend are something special and it really does not change from year to year. Specific to the blend, it has strong similarities to some of my favorite ISOM blends. Globally, this one is a stand-out. "Consistent" is the right word, yet it does not do this masterpiece justice.
1/3 creamy rich hazelnut mocha cedar
2/3 deep rich less cream cedar nut slight toast
3/3 deep toast no cream light pepper full body almost too strong - ended blah
8.0 / 10 great start then fades in good flavor 2/3 and 3/3
Chocolate brown with some stronger veins, leather and cedar predominant pre light
First third, strong leather and cedar, softer tones of sweet chocolate and baking spice beneath.
Middle section continues with strong leather and cedar, more notes of coffee and peanut develop underneath. Final third doesn’t disappoint, cedar and raisin take over toward the end.
Fanstastic cigar.

Burn was somewhat uneven and draw was rather tight, hopefully the rest of the box is better. Otherwise an absolutely delicious smoke and paired great with a Big Muddy Vanilla Stout.
