With 17 months rest, this blend is slap full of cedar tones the entire way. There is also an under tone similar to malt or hazelnut almost. The spices mild and pleasant and reproduces on the retro. Solid draw and fairly even burn.

TL;DR - comfortable and reliable like your favorite leather chair. Recommended. 👍 6 mos aged ⏳️ Pre-light cedar and light, sweet tobacco. Goldilocks draw and light-up. As usual, oak core with anise popping in and out of the background. A little waxy from time to time. Mild spice shows up at first 1/3. Burn 100% to the end. Mellow spice and oak finish.

In short, it's about as good as it gets for a standard smoke. Aged 8 months. The prelight smell is all quality tobacco. The prelight taste is a wonderful aged tobacco flavor with a slight sweetness. First puffs give off that wonderful early light peppery sensation. Maybe white pepper? The first 1/3 is oak, plain as day. The second third has developed a toasted hazelnut to go along with the toasted oak. As usual, this cigar develops as a narrow experience. Not complex or much of a journey. And that is definitely part of its charm. Now it's steady-Eddie into the last 3/3. Same flavors as the last, though a light waxiness has developed on my palate. Not bad, and not distracting. Another great smoke from Fuente.

This is a simple smoke, evoking comfort and consistency. Like sitting in your favorite old leather chair. Construction is firm with ample draw. Prelight is a light barnyard. Very pleasant. Torch it up and you're rewarded with ceder, toasted almond and an always present light leather. The burn is easy going, and the cherry quickly develops a sugar ring at the burn line. It's consistent and exactly what you'd want. I'll be looking forward to many more.

The experience on this smoke was unexpected. It was an outstanding smoke in every way, except flavor. The rolling was masterful. So it should be no surprise that the burn was even the entire time. The flavor profile started with a very light spice to the tip of the tongue, which fairly quickly changes to oak. Then, after the first third I got an intense hay. And there it stayed... hay and oak. Not something I need more of in my life.

My son smoked this one. Generally, it was a great experience. He was sharing all kinds of flavor notes as the journey went from first to middle to last third. Seems like black licorice was prevalent. The stick needed to get a touch up from time to time. So that's why it didn't get a perfect score. But otherwise it was a great experience. Will do again.

An excellent morning cigar with a strong black coffee. Nice and mellow with just a little bit of spice in the last third. Had to touch up once after ashing just before the last third. Definitely plan on picking up a few more for days that I have time for a longer smoke in the morning.

Very good cigar, paired nicely with a Flor de Caña mojito. This cigar could have used to dry box and acclimate a bit. Would definitely come back to this one again. Wrapper leaf popped a bit, but the cigar still smoked well. Draw was tight for my liking but smoked well and the smoke output was good

So, a classic is a classic for a reason. This is such a smoked cigar I am not going to spend very much time describing it. It carries a lot of cedar, some coffee/coco and a bit of red pepper spice. All of this is carried by a great foundation of DR tobacco taste and feel. As with most things AF the construction, burn and draw of this cigar are impeccable. I recently experienced a family tragedy, there are days, when sitting outside with a cigar really helps me connect and process my connection to the event. It is a long road. I have never smoked cigars to review them, I smoke them for the places they let my mind wander off to. Too often in life we forget that we are allowed to simply exist. This cigar opened up a space and allowed me to simply be. What else can you ask for?

Again a more than solid fuente cigar: flawless construction, perfect draw, perfect burn. Spicy, woody notes right out of the gate. Medium to full cigar, very enjoyable

TL;DR: Very good stick, but the Maduro version is better. This isn’t my typical review type, but I wanted to share some thoughts anyway. Fuentes have their die-hard followers, and for good reason; they are EXCELLENT cigars, and this is no exception. The burn is exceptional and it took 70 minutes to smoke down a 4” stick. The ash holds on FOREVER! The draw is near perfect as well. Construction on these are great also. Seams are not obvious and there are very few veins that I see. My only knock, specifically with the sun grown, is that the flavors are just “okay”. There’s more interesting stuff going on with the Maduro version. Overall, superb stick, but I was disappointed a little with the flavor.

Has a mild earthy smell and smooth cold draw. Produces a good amount of smoke that is smooth. Has a creamy woody flavor with a little spice on the back end. Some citrus notes come in at the end of the first third and throughout the second third. Draw remains smooth throughout and burn is good. Spice notes build into the last third.

Enjoyed the notes of Almonds, good draw.

Pepper at first , sweet middle and leathery/coffee last. Enjoyed all stages. After taste in first third was ok . Longer relaxing smoke
